Please carefully read these Terms and Conditions, all questions you may have need to be raised before attending your appointment.
These Terms and Conditions are subject to change. Updated terms will only apply to appointments made after the changes, if you are part way through a treatment plan your original terms will remain unchanged. It is essential that all information provided by you when completing your medical questionnaire and that you tell your clinician is fully accurate as non-disclosure of information may invalidate your agreement with us.
YSM offers a patient-centred clinic priding itself on offering top quality treatments. Treatments and procedures are competitively priced based upon our team's experience, expertise and the level of care provided.
We aim to provide our patients with in-depth information about our treatments to help them make informed decisions. Our reception team works closely with our consultants, radiologists, doctors and clinicians on a regular basis and can help with any initial questions that you may have prior to your appointment.
Payment is required for all appointments and associated treatments. Your appointment will be extensive in nature and delivered by a highly and appropriately qualified clinician.
The cost of your appointment will have been quoted by a YSM team member, if you require further treatments such as scans and/or diagnostics the relevant fees associated with these treatments will be provided prior to the appointment. Please ensure you are aware of the fees involved in advance of treatments and if unsure kindly ask a YSM team member.
You are required to pay the total cost of your treatment no later than the end of your appointment.
If you have an MRI or other imaging this will be invoiced directly to you by the provider and their terms and conditions will apply to all the services they provide.
Payment can be made via Credit or Debit card (American Express is not accepted), via bank transfer. YSM does not offer any finance options.
YSM is recognised by all major health insurance providers. YSM operates on a fee assured basis. Upon booking your appointment you are required to provide YSM the name of your health insurance provider, policy number and your authorisation code. This information is required to process your health insurance and without it you will be required to pay the full cost of your appointment. If you have an excess on your policy YSM requires you to pay this directly to us. If you are using health insurance to pay for your appointment, your information will be shared with a third party company Medserv to make this claim.
Payments are to be paid within 14 days of the date of the invoice. Late payment will incur a monthly late payment charge of 6% above the Bank of England base rate. Each attempt to recover late payments will incur an administration fee of £5. Failure to pay will result in YSM recovering the payment via www.moneyclaim.gov.uk.
Cancellations can be made by phone, email or in person and at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
We would be very grateful if you cancel as soon as possible to avoid any confusion and to help us maintain our level of service.
Failure to cancel an appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time will result in you being liable for the full cost of the appointment and no refund will be provided. For a first time cancellation we will allow you to reschedule your appointment as long as it is attended within 14 days of the cancellation without charge.
Failure to arrive for your appointment will result in you being liable for the full cost of the appointment and no refund will be provided.
Cancellation of an appointment for an MRI or other imaging the cancellation policy terms will be of the providers policy.
We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, however this may mean a reduced consultation time; rescheduling; or cancellation of your appointment, however you may still be charged for your full appointment.
YSM may offer remote consultations/appointments. Appointments may take place via telephone or online video calls. You are advised to ensure that you are using a secure internet connection. YSM can take no responsibility for the quality of the call if your wifi connection is poor. Appointments are to be held in a quiet area with adequate privacy. The appointment must not be recorded or retained by you unless this has been consented to from yourself and YSM. YSM reserves the right not to offer remote consultations if it is deemed clinically inappropriate. Payment is due upon booking the remote appointment.
Block Bookings are only available for Sports Massage treatment. Block bookings consist of 3 x 45 minute Sports Massages. 3 appointments must be booked and attended within 3 calendar months of the first appointment. Block bookings are not transferable and can only be used with the same clinician.
Please present the voucher at first consultation. Voucher subject to full consultation and patient suitability. Can only be redeemed once. Voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. The voucher cannot be used on any other treatment. Valid for 6 months from date first issued. The voucher has no cash value.

In line with the Care Quality Commission regulations we are unable to treat persons under the age of 11 years. YSM cannot accept responsibility for children in any of our clinics, we therefore politely request that you refrain from bringing children to any appointments. We do understand however that under certain circumstances this is unavoidable, in these circumstances please ensure there is a parent or guardian available to supervise the child at all times whilst within the clinic. YMS does not take responsibility for any personal belongings including but not limited to valuables such as jewelry which belong to the patient or anybody entering into the clinic.
All sport and exercise medicine consultant appointments will include a letter and correspondence with your GP.
